Glossary
Aseptic : In biology, free from any form of organic germs.
Cuff : The sleeve finish found at the wrist, made of fine, anti-static polyester.
Effet "blow-up" : If the cut of the garment is not well fitted, the air inside the suit will tend to escape through the extremities, which causes the "blow-up" of the garment.
ESD : Electrostatic Discharge.
GMP : Good Manufacturing Practices.
ISO : International Standards Organization.
Gowning procedure :A document, which is included in the quality management system of a company that meticulously explains the method which the operator must follow in order to properly gown for cleanroom standards. With BeMicron this procedure is greatly simplified.
Cleanroom :Synonym for clean or controlled environment.
In such an area we are talking about an almost complete absence of particles. A cleanroom is required for many manufacturing processes. In the pharmaceutical industry, we speak of a sterile environment.
In the food processing industry a cleanroom is a space that meets the high hygiene requirements. In this way, the most critical stage in the production process, namely the packaging, can be properly executed.
These zones are classified by ISO standards.
Twill : Standard fabric for BeMicron :
Binding 3/2 or other... The weft passes under the 3 warp fibres, then under two other fibres, etc.. Hence the diagonal effect on the fabric. A twill fabric is silky and shows generally less friction between the fibres themselves (a simulation test for example in the Body Box generally often gives better results with this type of material).
Plain : optional fabric for BeMicron :
Binding 1/1
With this type of weave, the weft passes alternately and systematically below and above the warp.
A plain fabric is generally tight with very good filtration performance, but the strong bending of the fibre can cause an increased mechanical friction, resulting in a larger particle release.
